America’s Next Top Model British Invasion: Cycle 18, Episode 3 :: Cat Deeley
This week on America’s Next Top Model British Invasion (Cycle 18, Episode 3), the pressure of criticism becomes too much for one top model. Read Kidzworld’s recap of “Cat Deeley,” which aired on March 14, 2012, to discover what you missed.
This week was all about superpowers. Tyra showed up at the top model house to talk to the girls about the difference between supermodels and super moguls. She gave each of the girls their superpower names:
- Sophie - Illuminata
- Alisha - Gam-a-tronica
- Louise - Chameelone
- Catherine - Era-descent
- Ashley - Charismia
- Annaliese - Excite-to-buy
- Azmarie - Andro-Genia
- Laura - Zagilicious
- Seymone - Fiercely Real
- Kyle - Next-Dorsia
- Candace - Exotica
- Eboni - 30-Never
Then the girls were told to embrace their superpowers in their photo shoot. But instead of simply posing for a photo, the girls were divided into teams: Britain vs. America. Each team had to designate a team leader along with someone in charge of props, hair and makeup, wardrobe, and casting a male model. The Americans shined under Azmarie’s confident leadership, whereas the Brits buckled because of Annaliese. Louise’s bad attitude shined when Kelly Cutrone reprimanded her for running on set.
Louise's Hissy Fit
At panel, when it came time to discuss Louise’s photo, Kelly brought up her bad attitude. All the judges tried to explain the importance of humility and excepting criticism. But this only made Louise blow up. She stormed off set and demanded to be taken home. Obviously she’s not cut out for the cutthroat modelling industry.
Afterwards, Tyra gave best photo to Azmarie. The final four girls were divided equally: two from the US and two from the UK. But because Louise removed herself from the competition, the judges opted to save all the remaining girls.
