Jun 02, 2012

Diego Boneta has been a Mexican soap opera star for years, but recently the 21-year-old actor/singer caught the attention of North American audiences by starring in the musical comedy Rock of Ages. Find out more about Diego Boneta in his Kidzworld Bio!

World Citizen

Diego Andres Gonzalez Boneta was born in Mexico City, Mexico, but has citizenship in the three different countries! His father is Mexican while his mother an American with Puerto Rican and Spanish roots. Diego speaks Spanish and English fluently and believes that his musical talent comes from his grandfather.

Singing Soap Opera Stud

Diego has been acting and singing since he was a kid, appearing in several Spanish-language soap operas (called telenovelas) and rose to fame when landed a role on the teen telenovela Rebelde. Not satisfied with just working on his acting career, Diego also released a debut album in 2005 called Diego thatmade waves in Mexico, Brazil and Chile and were featured on Rebelde. He even opened tour dates for Hilary Duff! He followed this up with the album Indigo.

Soaps to the Silver Screen

In 2010 he started to land English speaking roles on American TV, starring for a time on ABC’s hit teen mystery show Pretty Little Liars as Alex Santiago, the tennis club cutie turned romantic interest of Spencer Hastings. He also played Javier Luna on 90210 and broke into American films with Mean Girls 2, playing opposite his friend Meaghan Martin.

His real breakthrough though was landing the coveted lead role in Adam Shankman’s comedy musical Rock of Ages, which was released in June 2012. Diego got to combine his love of acting and singing Drew Boley, an up-and-coming living in Los Angeles in the ‘80s.

Rumor has it that Diego is currently working on an English debut album with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine tha may be out in late 2012 or early 2013.

Here are my top 9 worst TV shows I have ever watched. 1. Breadwinners and Sanjay and Craig (tie) 2. Marvin Marvin 3.  Pickle and Peanut 4 Fred Figglehorn  5. Annoying Orange 6. Austin and Ally 7. Dog on a Blog 8. The Day My Butt Went Psycho (I'm not Canadian but it doesn't look like a good show) 9. Lab Rats  Basically every show that has a laugh track.  If you are looking for a good show, watch Doctor Who. No laugh tracks, humor is used properly, good storyline, DOESN'T take place in a school ALL OF THE TIME (well, it does in some episodes such as school reunion) The cast isn't full of teenagers and parents won't get so annoyed of the show. It's about a 900 year old time lord (who looks like a human) that travels in a TARDIS. He has 13 regenerations and almost always has a female companion with him. He is the last of his species so he's always lonely on Earth.

Plus he said MOST on cartoon Network. Not every show. I have to agree. There is better TV out there... Such as.... *takes deep breath* Doctor Who (Better than ALL of the trash they show on Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and most cartoon network shows combined) Old spongebob (not the new spongebob episodes) Sherlock (hmmm I have never watched the show but i have heard it's awesome) I worship the BBC for making good things happen to the world.
