2012 Eurocup Final

Jun 02, 2012

Spain has won the 2012 Eurocup by beating Italy 4-0. Just like the World Cup, every 4 years, the countries try to qualify for this tournament, but of course only European countries participate. But since you could say that the European countries are the best soccer teams in the World, with exception to Brazil and Argentina, Spain definitely proved that they are still the #1 team to beat.

Italian Meatballs

It actually looked like Spain had the soccer ball on a string or like a meatball wrapped in spaghetti. Spain passed the ball around the Italians like Lebron James and Chris Bosh playing piggy-in-the-middle with Justin Bieber. It truly was a sad day for Italy as they never had a hope to win this game.

2-0 Panic

Down 2-0, the Italians panicked and made their only allowed 2 substitutions. Let this be a lesson to all you soccer players, because Italy made their substitutions too early and when one of their players got injured in the second half, they had to play the rest of the game short one player, leaving the door wide open for Spain to pot two more goals to humiliate Italy on the scoreboard.

Golden Boot

Fernando Torres won the Golden Boot award with 3 goals and 1 assist. He was actually tied with Mario Gomez for the same amount of points. How did they break the tie? Fernando won the award because he played less minutes than Mario.

Tri-Champions

Spain have now won the 2008 Eurocup, the 2010 World Cup, and the 2012 Eurocup. There team is still pretty young and you could easily say that they are the favorites to win the next World Cup, Rio De Janiero, Brazil 2014 . Whoaaaa! I think the Brazilians will have something to say about this. It should be a great tournament. Too bad we have to wait another two years.

Have your say

Who do you think is the best soccer team in the world? Let us know in the comments below.

I was a cheerleader for 2 years until  I aged out, but let ,e tell you, they were 2 of the best, sweaty and most fun years I have ever had

CHEERLEADING IS LIKE DANCE GYMNASTICS MIXED TOGETHER WITH WORDS. AND DANCE AND GYMNASTICS ARE CONSIDERED SPORTS.
