Summer Mixtape 2012

Okay, so we don’t exactly use tapes anymore, but there’s an art to creating the perfect playlist for the summer. The key to a mind-blowing mixtape is blending classic summer songs with your favorite new hits and throwing in a little something that everyone can sing along to – whether it’s your dad or your BFF. Check out the 2012 Kidzworld Summer Mixtape to get some ideas for your playlist!

Summer MixtapeA scorchin' summer set list is all about blending classics and hits.

Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles

A classic summer hit about being grateful for the sun’s relaxing rays.

We Are Young – Fun. Featuring Janelle Monae

If this song doesn’t get everyone singing along with you, we don’t know what will!

The Motto - Drake Featuring Lil’ Wayne

YOLO! You Only Live Once according to Drake and Lil’ Wayne, so make the most of your summer!

Summertime – Will Smith

If you have any old school hip hop buffs to appease, this song is designed to make you chill out and groove.

California Girls – Katy Perry

Every girl is a “California Girls” in the summer, so bust out those Daisy Dukes (that’s slang for cut-off shorts) and dance along.

Party Rock Anthem – LMFAO

“Party Rock Anthem” is also a summer anthem.

LMFAOParty Rock Anthem will kick your summer into gear

Love You Like A Love Song – Selena Gomez

It may not be about summer, but just like Selena in the video,“Love You Like A Love Song” will make you want to hop in your BF's convertible or serenade your sweetheart on the beach.

The Locomotion – Kylie Minogue

Old-fashioned and up-tempo, The Locomotion will get you moving.

One Direction – What Makes You Beautiful

The video says it all for this one! Get to the beach already!

Summertime Blues – Ed Cochran

Not everything can go your way, let Ed Cochran commiserate with you about the summertime blues.

Summer in the City – Lovin’ Spoonful

If your friends have their musical roots in straight-up rock then don’t leave this one off the playlist.

Call Me Maybe – Carly Rae Jepsen

I think we can all agree that “Call Me Maybe” will continue to dominate the charts this summer, so don’t leave it off your playlist!

Surfin’ USA – Beach Boys

The ultimate summer song!

I am tied for nick and disney. I like nick for the fact that it had some good shows like Fairly Oddparents. disney had good shows that brings back good memories but it now has stupid shows with screaming children and overall loud voices, in a bad way.

It depends. I prefer the older shows on Disney and Nick. Most shows that are on Disney and Nick today are stupid in my opinion, If I would watch anything it would be Spongebob and the older shows on Nick and Disney. I can't decide.
