America’s Got Talent: Season 7, Episode 30 :: The Finals

Sep 13, 2012

This week on America’s Got Talent (Season 7, Episode 30), the top 6 acts perform in the finale and give it one last shot to win America’s votes! Read Kidzworld’s recap of “The Finals,” which aired on September 12, 2012, to discover what you missed.

The Top 6

David Garibaldi and his CMYK’s opened the show with an amazing art/dance piece that revealed an image of Albert Einstein. Howard called them outstanding, and while he didn’t particularly like the art created last week, he said he’d hang this piece in his home.

Tom Cotter rolled the dice this week for his comedy act - literally. A roll of a giant die revealed his topic for the night: poor examples. He talked about all the ways Disney and nursery rhymes provide poor examples for children. This is the first season that a comedian has made it into the finale. With high praise from the judges, could he win the million dollar prize?

The Untouchables are the only children left in the competition. But with their level of talent, you’d never know it. Sharon called their dance quick and in your face, and she loved how they’ve managed to show nearly every style of dance.

Joe Castillo switched up his sand art this week by paying tribute to AGT - the show that changed his life. He created images of Nick Cannon and each of the judges, and even portrayed Howard in beret - the very hat that Howard despises. The judges called his act remarkable.

William Close stepped it up again this week by adding more instruments and more drama to accompany his earth harp. Howie said it reminded him of Cirque du Soleil and claimed that he wants to buy tickets to his show.

Olate Dogs closed the show with an act that captured the judges hearts all over again. They added a new dog to this week’s show and a couple new tricks. Could the dogs win the big prize?

And The Winner Is...

It came down comedian Tom Cotter and variety act Olate Dogs. And the winner is...Olate Dogs!

"Set in the fictional town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania, the series follows the lives of four girls, Aria Montgomery, Hanna Marin, Emily Fields, and Spencer Hastings, whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their leader, Alison DiLaurentis. One year later, the estranged friends are reunited as they begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure named "A", who threatens to expose their deepest secrets, including ones they thought only Alison knew. At first, they think it's Alison herself, but after her body is found, the girls realize that someone else is planning on ruining their perfect lives." It's based off the book series by the same name and it's these girls that get tormented by "A" and it's like a mystery. You'd probably want to start from the beginning or it'd be hard to understand, it's on Netflix.
