Glee: Season 4, Episode 1:: The New Rachel

Sep 13, 2012

This week on Glee (Season 4, Episode 1) the season premiere kicks off with a still broken-hearted Rachel starting her new life in NYC and the New Directions stranded in Lima without a star singer. Find out more in the Kidzworld Recap of "The New Rachel" which aired September 13, 2012.

The "New" Directions

The New Directions are indeed, "new" after we saw many of the last set of NDers graduate at the end of last season (amid much heartbreak, if anyone recalls), so who will fill the empty choir room now? McKinley welcomes new singing students Kitty, Brody, Jake and Wade. The new glee club members aren't the only new additions though, Sue Sylvester got her wish at the end of last season with her new daughter, which promises to be interesting.

"New" York City

Ex-New Directioner Rachel is off to the big city to follow her dreams of being a star, but when she arrives in NYC she immediately gets off to a rocky start with her NYADA dance instructor Cassandra July (played by Kate Hudson, a new addition to the show's cast), who she thinks is picking on her, However, Cassandra later reveals to Rachel that the reason she's being hard on the young performer is so that she can push her to be her best.

If I had to make simple choice, I'd prefer to live in It's Kind of a Funny Story simply for the people who were held in it. Despite the location setting for the story, I feel as if I could very easily fall for the characters all over again, especially in an even more personal matter. But, of course, if I was  going with a straight up fantasy like everyone seems to be, I'd most likely go with a world like Dorthy Must Die series or Alice in Wonderland. Both being these magical worlds filled with quirky creatures and people, so how could you get bored? Oh, and of course let us not forget the plenty of harrowing fight scenes for freedom from the evil queens and her many brainless followers.

The Iron Giant was way too advanced in some ways to be a child's movie, yet it was.

I would live in The Outsiders because it's a classic book. I would love to go on adventures with the gang and read books and watch movies with Ponyboy. (Because I too always believed I was the only one who enjoyed them.) I would love to open up to Johnny because he is such a kind hearted soul.
