This week on So You Think You Can Dance (Season 9, Episode 15), the top 20 return to perform highlights from the season, and the winners are announced! Read Kidzworld’s recap of the “Finale,” which aired on September 18, 2012, to discover what you missed.

Past Performances

This finale episode was jam packed with some of the most memorable performances from this season. Each of the judges, along with the final four contestants and host Cat Deeley, got to pick a routine to be performed again. After an opening number with the entire top 20, choreographed by Sonya Teyah and Christopher Scott, Nigel picked his favorite piece from the season: the Titanic-inspired routine choreographed by Travis Wall and performed by Audrey and Matthew.

The Judges Picks

Next, Lil C chose the “buck” hip hop routine performed by Witney and Twitch. Debbie Allen chose the Sonya Teyah contemporary routine with Tiffany and George. Adam Shankman picked the Paso Doble performed by Lindsay and Cole, which Nigel called the best Paso Doble ever on the show after the original performance. Next, Tyce Dorio picked the quirky “love cats” routine with Amelia and Will. And Mary chose the holocaust number performed by Chehon and Kathryn.

Cat and the Contestants’ Picks

Thanks to Cat’s pick, Tiffany dazzled on stage in her shiny disco outfit alongside all-star Brendan. Finalist Eliana chose her defining moment of the season - her and all-star Alex’s “bang bang” piece. Chehon picked his sensual Argentine Tango with all-star Anya and you could definitely feel the electric chemistry between them all over again. Tiffany chose her Mandy Moore contemporary piece with all-star Ade. And Cyrus picked (no surprise here) his hip hop routine with all-star Twitch.

Other Performances

Along with these performances, we had a few new treats, including a hip hop routine with Cyrus, Comfort, Twitch and the piece’s choreographer, Christopher Scott. Cyrus’s roommates from Dragon House showed off their animation expertise. And Finally, Carly Rae Jepsen performed a song from her new CD, Kiss.

Winners Announced

For the first time ever on SYTYCD, two winners were crowned: America’s favorite male dancer and America's favorite female dancer. After America’s votes the winners are Eliana and Chehon!
