Winter Fa-fa-fa-fashion 2012

Nov 14, 2012

So, there’s a beautiful one-of-a-kind snowflake on your tongue and your butt is frozen cold, what do you wear? Something that is both unique and beautiful as the snowflake but also keeps your butt warm. Rolling out on the wintery carpet are a few seasonal gems:

Faux Fur

It’s warm and fuzzy. That might be the only two reasons you’d need to wear some faux fur, but it also adds some amazing texture and it’s usual earthly colors ground any outfit. Particularly trendy: the faux fur vest and faux fur collars. Don’t mess with real fur- it hurts your conscience along with your pocketbook.

Silky Silk:

Silk blouses add a drapey, sheer effect that looks wonderful with a high waisted skirt or pants. Silk is also super warm if you layer ‘er up!

Shorts and Tights:

Why pack your shorts away in summer when you can layer them with funky tights? No really, why would you hid them when they look so cute? Patterned or colorful tights (or both!) look so great with shorts and boots. If it’s a little colder out, add another layer of tights or even leggings. Just don’t suffocate those shorts in your closet!

Brimmed Hats:

Brimmed hats are wonderful for cold days where you need to keep snow or rain out of your eyes and your head warm and toasty. Or they’re also great for just looking amazing. Maybe you think it’s too big of a commitment, but don’t be shy about this one, just go for it, it’ll feel good.

Military Style:

It’s dark, it’s green, it can hide you if you're in the woods, it goes great with bright neons and bulky boots: it’s camo. You guessed it.
