Gossip Girl: Season 6, Episode 6 :: Where The Vile Things Are

Old Flame
Dan wants to get as far away from Rufus and Ivy as possible. So with his first Vanity Fair check, he goes apartment hunting with Serena in tow. But the paparazzi are hot on their trail making it impossible to get anything done. Now that Serena and Steven are no longer together, she and Dan seem to be rekindling their fire.
Damage Control
Meanwhile, Blair is freaked out because her mother is coming back to town to do damaged control after Blair made an embarrassment out of her clothing line. Blair realizes that maybe fashion design isn't her talent and the only reason she's been successful at anything in her life is because she has threatened people in order to get ahead. But threats won't work in the real world.
Bidding War
Just before Rufus and Ivy's art gallery opening, they find out that everyone declined their invitation all due to Lily's art event happening the same evening. In order to secure some guests, Ivy decides to purchase Lily's entire collection so that she'll have to cancel her event. Unfortunately, this turns into a bidding war between Lily herself and Ivy, along with Chuck, who has his eye on one particular painting. Chuck discovered that the evidence he's been searching for to put his father away lies with this painting, and no price is too high to pay.
