Feb 04, 2013

This year's Super Bowl had it all, big hits, big scores, and a huge comeback and that was just the halftime show. The football game was explosive... it had so much action it knocked out the lights of the Superdome in New Orleans... literally! This is one Super Bowl recap that you don't want to miss... here are the Top 5 Moments of Super Bowl XLVII.

Super Bowl XLVII :: Top 5 Moments

#5 Funniest Commercial

Well, most people watch the Super Bowl for the commericials and even though the commercials weren't that great this year, there was one commercial that was HILLARIOUS!!!

#4 Destiny's Child Reunion

The 2nd reason most people watch the Superbowl is probably for the Halftime Show and everyone was wondering if Beyonce would do another lip sync performance after she openly admitted to lip syncing during the presidential inauguration. Well, whatever she did, the highlight was when her long lost buddies from Destiny's Child joined her on stage to do a little Charlie's Angels pose after their greatest song... Independent Women.

#3 Jacoby Jones Blowout

Baltimore Ravens took a page out of the US Military by leveling the San Francisco 49ers with a bombardment of shock-and-awe football. The first half and 11 seconds of the second have was complete domination capped off with a Jacoby Jones 108 yard kickoff return. Everyone was completely blown away by the Underdog Ravens play, including the Superdome's lights. The lights went out and it took 35 minutes to get the game going again.

#2 Ravens Stuff Comeback

Cue the 49er comeback. After the light went out, the 49ers were like a brand new team. They caused fumbles, they ran back punts, and Colin Kaepernick ran the longest TD run by a Quarterback in a Super Bowl. And with the score 34-29, the 49ers had a chance at the very end of the game with a 1st and goal and only a couple of minutes on the clock. The Ravens stuffed them.

#1 Underdog Victory

Joe Flacco was named MVP and he was probably more surprised than everyone else. Joe isn't a well-known player in the NFL, but he outshined Peyton Manning in the quarterfinals, Tom Brady in the Semi-Finals and then led his Ravens to win the Super Bowl with 3 touchdown passes. He made no mistakes and didn't even throw an interception throughout the whole playoffs. The last time the Ravens won the Super Bowl, Trent Dilfer was the QB and he was forgotten about a long time ago... will anyone remember Joe?
