Laguna Beach and The Hills
Lauren Conrad rose to fame on MTV shows Laguna Beach and The Hills. Both shows featured her life as a teenager/young adult living in Laguna Beach and Los Angeles. In The Hills, we were given an inside glimpse into her internship at Teen Vogue magazine, and her job at People’s Revolution.
L.A. Candy
Since her days on MTV, Lauren has made a name for herself in Hollywood. She was the spokesperson for Avon’s line called Mark, and became a published author. Her book L.A. Candy was so popular she even made it into a series. Lauren has also published several books about fashion and beauty, featuring all of her fave tips and tricks. But, Lauren has had the most success following her true passion: fashion.
Designer Dreams
In 2008 Lauren debuted her very first fashion line, called the Lauren Conrad Collection. A year later she launched a new line that was sold in Kohls stores across the US. The line features affordable pieces that reflect Lauren’s own personality. In 2011, Lauren launched a third fashion line called Paper Crown. This line is more expensive than the previous two lines of clothing.
The Beauty Department
In 2011, Lauren also launched her own website called The Beauty Department (www.thebeautydepartment.com). The site hair and makeup tutorials as well as pictures and blog posts about the things that inspire Lauren and her team. The website is the go-to place for teens needing their daily fix of all things glam.
