The Periodic Table of Elements Trivia

Q1038361581406

The Periodic Table of Elements that we know and use today has stayed the same for nearly 130 years. In 1869, Russian scientist Dmitrii I. Mendeleev formed a chart of all the elements, grouping them in seven columns according to their chemical composition. These groupings, also known as families, can be broken down into these categories - the alkali metals, the alkaline earth metals, transition metals, rare earth metals, metalliods, halogens and noble gases.

Don't worry, you don't have to know which group each chemical element belongs to - you just have to know their Periodic symbols. Think you know what the symbols for Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium and Hydrogen are? Get ready to test your knowledge of the Periodic Table of Elements right here at Kidzworld!
