Jun 05, 2013

Imagine that your dad is a pro athlete for a second... crazy right? Now imagine that your dad was one of the greatest athletes ever in his sport! As father's day approaches, let's acknowledge all of the greatest pro-athlete dads.

Wayne Gretzky was the greatest hockey player to ever play the game. He has three sons and two daughters; Paulina, Ty, Trevor, Tristan and Emma. Living in LA with a former Hollywood actress Janet Jones, the family fots right into the California lifestyle. The older boys gave up on hockey and prefer surfing and golf, while Paulina has been known to glam it up in the party world.

Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan was the greatest basketball player to ever play the game. He has 3 children; Jeffrey, Marcus and Jasmine. Michael's boys turned out to be pretty good basketball players, however it doesn't look like either of them will make it to the NBA. It must be tought to live in the shadow of Air Jordan.

Pele was a Brazilian soccer player that many people say was the greatest. He has had 5 children since 1967; Kelly, Edson, Jennifer, and recently in 1996 he had twins Joshua and Celeste. Pele would have had 6 children but one of his sons died from meningitis. His oldest son Edson became a professional soccer player in Brazil but never quite became as famous as his father.

Joe Montana

Joe Montana was ranked the fourth-best player in NFL history by the NFL Network, but he is the No. 1 quarterback on that list and has four Super Bowl rings and three Super Bowl MVPs. Joe has four children: Alexandra, Elizabeth, Nate and Nicholas. Nate and Nick play QB just like their dad and it looks like Nic might make the NFL.

Yogi Berra

Yogi Berra has the most World Series rings in baseball history: 10.  The greatest living Yankee also won three MVPs, including back-to-back ones in 1954 and 1955. Yogi has three children: Larry, Tim and Dale. Larry took a stab at the minor leagues, but never really had the baseball tools.  He played in about 20 games for three different teams, then hung it up.
