Henry Cavill Bio
British actor Henry Cavill was born in the Channel Islands, a small island off the coast of Normandy. He was sent to boarding school is England, where he started acting in school plays. Henry made his movie debut in The Count of Monte Cristo, a film based on the book by Alexandre Dumas. After that he made a bunch of guest appearances on British tv shows and films.
In 2007 Henry landed a role in The Tudors, a show set in 16th century England. Henry played Charles Brandon, the 1st Duke of Suffolk. The show was a big success and he stayed until 2010. The Tudors was nominated for a Golden Globe award and an Emmy.

In 2011 Henry was cast as the lead in the new Superman movie, Man of Steel, which was released in 2013. Henry plays Clark Kent, a humanoid alien who has been transported to Earth and adopted by a human couple. Growing up, Clark feels different from the other kids because of his supernatural powers. When Earth comes under attack, it is up to Clark to save the day.
