Pretty Little Liars: Season 4, Episode 3:: Cat's Cradle

Suspect List

This week on PLL, discovering who murdered Detective Wilden is a top of everybody's agenda - including the police's. Hanna manages to get a peek at the official police list of suspects, and pretty much everyone is on there (including the liars of course) but one name stands out more than the rest - her mom! It turns out that Ashley actually was in Rosewood the night of the murder, and after she asked Hanna's dad for money that night, he also found his gun missing. Uh oh. On the bright side, Caleb returned this week to help Hanna uncover the info.

Unmasked

Uncovering any clue seems to require that girls set off into the darkness at night in the middle of the woods, and this time it was to find a creepy mask shop where they discovered that Alison had her mask made, and furthermore they found a mask of Spencer's sister Melissa there.

That's not the only clue being unmasked, Spencer and Toby are back together as a super sleuthing couple, and decide to look into the suicide of Toby's mom to see if there was anything suspicious about it. This being Rosewood, there was of course something suspicious about it and they suspect that she may have actually been murdered.

Parental Guidance

A lot of the time the liars are worried about losing their relationships, but not this episode, this time it looks like it's the parents they might lose. Someone has reported The Fields family to child services after noticing a troubling (but as we know, not related) pattern: the bruises on Emily, Emily and her mom fighting outside the school and her dad's frequent absences.Will the Fields' family be torn apart? On a lighter, but more bizzarre note, Aria gives Ella permission to skip town and head to Austria with Zack, which doesn't seem like a great idea given the 'A' situation, but Aria is too busy cosying up with her new boo Jake to care (sorry Ezria fans!)
