Malcolm in the Middle: Traffic Jam

If you've ever had to go on a long car ride with your family in the hot sun, then you can probably relate to this episode. Malcolm and his family are on their way home when a massive car crash causes an afternoon long road closure - in the middle of a blazing hot afternoon. This is bad. It's even worse when some chump with an ice cream truck refuses to sell Reese or anyone else ice cream, while their skin begins to peel in 100 degree temperatures. But things brighten up for Malcolm when he runs into a cutie named Jessica And it turns out Jessica is both cute and crafty. She tells a lie to the cops so Malcolm and her can scope out the accident site - very cool.
While Malcolm and Jessica get to know each other, Reese stages a successful raid on the ice cream truck. But the funniest part of the show is when Mom loses it. She tries to hijack a crane so she can clear the accident herself. After the cops threaten to arrest her, she breaks a car window to release a dog who is withering under the sun. This turns out to be a bad move, since the dog is ready for blood. The dog ends up biting Mom which is bad. But even worse the dog rips apart Jessica's Canadian phone number - so Malcolm's meeting with Jessica is one for the memory book.
