Highlights

Host Ellen Degeneres kicked the night off by gently ribbing some of the biggest stars this year about their names and careers, but it was all in good fun and everyone had a laugh (including starlet Jennifer Lawrence, who not only tripped on her dress on the way up to the podium last year, but also on the way out of the cab this year!)

Often the musical performances at the awards are lackluster, but this year was a standout with R&B star Pharrell Williams getting even the most respected actors out of their seats to boogey with him during his performance of "Happy" (from Despicable Me 2.) We also loved veteran singer/actress Bette Midler's performance of "Wind Beneath My Wings" to honor all the talented show biz people who passed away last year, as well as Karen O. and Ezra Koenig (Vampire Weekend) performing the sweet, melancholy duet "The Moon Song" (from Her.)

Check out Pharrell performing "Happy" below!

One of the best running gags of the night was Ellen ordering pizza for the entire audience - and then demanding they pay up! As well as Whoopi Goldberg honoring the classic film The Wizard of Oz, and pulling up her dress to flash some stripey/witchy stockings! And don't forget Ellen's attempt at the "most retweeted photo ever!"
