The Bottom Line

Aladdin has to be one of Disney's most loved animated classics, with a soundtrack that is so good it literally will take you to "a whole new world." Needless to say, expectations are always high for re-releases like this, with lifelong and new fans hoping to see their fave movie brighter and greater than ever before, and extras they've never seen before.

The Diamond Edition of Aladdin on blu-ray is a treat for the eyes, with the enhanced picture quality showing off the beautiful blues and purples in every night time scenes, it makes the magic carpet seem more magical than ever. Luckily for this release, Disney not only added lots of great extras, but found great footage that will be new to many viewers. A major highlight of the extras is "Genie Outtakes," a reel of the late, great comedian Robin Williams' best voice acting moments that didn't make the original film.
