The Simpsons check out the latest and greatest at the Springfield Animation Festival where Homer volunteers to try an Animotion suit that makes a cartoon dog copy what Homer does, even when he's in the bathroom!
Homer decides to invest his life savings in the Animotion company but Animotion goes super-duper-bankrupt the very next day and Homer loses all his money. Desperate for money, Homer takes Barney's advice and becomes a human guinea pig.
While being sprayed with acid perfumes and blinded with crazy diet pills, a Crayon is discovered in Homer's brain. The doctor's yoink it outta there and suddenly his brain gets supercharged. Decked out in his new nerd-duds, Homer and his brain go on a rampage. He gives a speech at Bart's school, proves a thing or two to Flanders, visits the library with Lisa, and reports the Nuclear Plant's safety violations to the Safety Commission.
The plant gets shut down and all of Homer's friends are stuck without a job. They blame Homer for it and suddenly all his friends hate him. D'oh! Desperate to get his friends back Homer realizes that he's too smart for his own good and wants the Crayon put back so he can be stupid again. Dr. Moe(!?) does the operation and in no time flat Homer the smart is Homer the dumb.
The moral of this story? Never stick a whole box of Crayons up your nose.
