Like the TV show Beyblade but dont know much background about the Bladebreaker characters? Check out this info on Kenny, Max, Kai, Tyson, their bitbeasts and more!

Get ready to Let It Rip with the Beyblade cartoon. Your fave beybladers battle it out in the Battledome to see who can become the world's best. Find out more about this anime show right here!

Beyblade - Main Characters

  • Ray - Ray was a member of the White Tigers but left to learn more about Beyblading. Ray is honest but if backed into a corner, will show his claws. Ray has control of his Bit Beast Driger, which is a combination Jungle type blade.
  • Kenny - Kenny is also known as Chief. He is called that because he knows everything about Beyblades. Chief is a complete nerd but helps the team a lot. Kenny's Bit Beast is Dizzara or Dizzi. Dizzi is a smarty-pants bit beast but is trapped in Kenny's laptop thanks to a power surge.
  • Daichi - Daichi and his Bit Beast, Strata Draoon are a powerful combo. Daichi joined the Bladebreakers in the third season of the show, and is often a mysterious character that can be hard to figure out.
  • Max - Max is an all around good guy. He's got serious beyblading strategy, he's a powerful competitor and he and Tyson are more like brothers than teammates. Max gets so help from his Bit Beast Draciel, which used to belong to his grandma.
  • Kai - Kai has some serious loyalty issues to work on. He's flopped back and forth from team to team, eventually ending up with the Bladebreakers and helping them to win the World Championship. He's talented, but he's also kind of sneaky.
  • Tyson - Tyson is not a beyblader who is easily frightened. He is ready to rise to any challenge, and with his Bit Beast, Dragoon, he is one of the best beybladers in the world.
  • Hilary - Hilary is a friend of Tyson and Kenny's, and she is constantly trying to help Kenny out at his matches. She's usually not too big of a help. Hilary also is kind of crushin' on Tyson!

Beyblade - Fun Facts

  • A beyblade is a top that is used to battle against opponents.
  • You can watch all your fave Beyblade episodes on DVD - they're not sold by season though, just individually so far.
  • On March 22, 2005, Beyblade: Fierce Battle The Movie was released on DVD.
  • The Bladebreakers enemies are a bunch of guys on a team called The Demolition Boys.
  • The Beyblade cartoon is based on the original Beyblade toys, which made their debut in Japan in 2001.

1 My favorite quote from all the episodes is said by Kai during the Russian tournament when he was a Demolition Boy, and stealing Bit Beasts from the All Starz at an exhibition match. Kai said, "Cowards do not deserve to possess Bit Beasts. It is my right to steal them away. And I shall be the soul guardian of their power. Forever!"

“Instruction in world history in the so-called high schools is even today in a very sorry condition. Few teachers understand that the study of history can never be to learn historical dates and events by heart and recite them by rote; that what matters is not whether the child knows exactly when this battle or that was fought, when a general was born, or even when a monarch (usually a very insignificant one) came into the crown of his forefathers. No, by the living God, this is very unimportant. To 'learn' history means to seek and find the forces which are the causes leading to those effects which we subsequently perceive as historical events.”
