Okay. I need to take some deep breaths. Whooo. I cannot believe what is happening! Wow. He actually asked me out. Sure, it's just a group thing and it'll probably be about as intimate as going on a date with my grandma - but he still asked me out.

I have had the biggest crush on Dylan since like, last year. I've wanted to ask him out this entire time but we've just been good friends and I didn't want to make things weird. Turns out, I didn't have to worry so much cuz he's been crushing pretty hard too! Crazy!

I think the bunch of us are going to see X2 this Friday. Maybe grab some pizza or something afterwards. Doubt I'll have trouble getting permission to go since the 'rents are still oh-so-absorbed in their own issues. What will I wear? How am I going to do my hair? Oh man! I'm starting to sound like a real ditz. But I can't help it cuz this is so exciting.

I should email Simon and tell him about my upcoming dating adventure. Ooooh... if this date thingy works out, then maybe Dylan will ask me to the year-end dance. How cool would that be??? Okay. Got homework to do. Have to get my head out of the clouds for a while. Man, it's good to finally have something great happen in my life! The family stuff was really starting to warp my world, ya know? At least now it's not the only thing I have to think about!
