Leon Zeisel isn't your average fourth grader. And Miss Cronheim isn't your average fourth grade teacher. So what happens when these two misfits have to spend an entire school year together? Mystery, adventure and a whole lot of sewing!
Leon and the Spitting Image - The 411
Leon and the Spitting Image follows Leon Zeisel through the fourth grade at the
Ethical School, where their motto is "Nimble fingers make for
nimble minds." In the fourth grade, Miss Cronheim makes her
students sew to keep their
fingers nimble. Unfortunately for Leon, he couldn't be
clumsier if he tried. When
threatened with the prospect of being
held back a year, Leon
practices extra hard to master his
sewing skills and stumbles upon
a secret that suddenly makes going to school a lot more
bearable.
Leon and the Spitting Image - Thumbs Up

Leon and the Spitting Image is littered with
interesting characters, settings and scenarios. From Miss Cronheim and her
Velcro wig to Leon's obsesssion with the hometowns of taxi cab drivers, there is never a dull moment from
start to finish.
Leon and the Spitting Image - Thumbs Down
Other than harboring serious dislike for the
Ethical School bully, Henry Lumpkin, there is nothing to complain about in
Leon and the Spitting Image. If you're looking for something just a little
out of the ordinary that will keep you on your toes, you'll have to grab a copy of this
book. Even if it's only to find out how Leon gets
revenge on Lumpkin the Pumpkin!
