Jingle Boy - Christmas Blueprints

If you're lookin' to get into the holiday spirit, Jingle Boy will definitely get you there. It starts off with Paul Nicholas spreading all his Christmas joy, eager to start his Christmas shopping the week after Thanksgiving. Paul is a certified Christmas nut but when he loses his favorite Santa hat, things start to go wrong. His GF dumps him for a lame mall Santa, his dad gets electrocuted and his house almost burns to the ground. Suddenly Paul's not so jolly anymore.

Jingle Boy Rocks!

Not only does Jingle Boy deliver a warm and fuzzy holiday message, there are a ton of really great characters in Jingle Boy - especially Paul's best bud, Holly. When Paul loses his Christmas spirit, Holly recruits him to join the Anti-Christmas Underground - a group of delinquents bent on ridding the town of Christmas joy. Their actions are pretty grinchy but they're the exact reason you keep flipping the pages - so you can see what evil plot they have planned next. There's also a good love story intertwined, but it's cool that author Kieran Scott doesn't make it all mushy-gushy.

Jingle Boy - The Spirit of Scrooge

Jingle Boy does have its fair share of cheese when it comes to telling Paul's story - but isn't that kind of what Christmas is about? There are some lame clichés and a few predictable turns in the plot, but overall Jingle Boy's storyline is pretty solid and original.

Jingle Boy - The Christmastime Bottom line

Cozy up to the fire with a cup of hot chocolate, have some Christmas carols playing in the background and crack open a copy of Jingle Boy. Christmas just wouldn't be the same without a tale of misfortune and crazy shenanigans - think It's a Wonderful Life, just a lot hipper, and in book form!
