Sindy Blogs About The Christmas Dance

I can breathe a deep sigh of relief... Kaelin finally asked me to the Winter Formal! It's strange cuz the play wrapped up a couple weeks ago, so I don't get to see him as often, but he managed to track me down and ask me to go with him. I have to say I'm pretty excited. Now all I have to do is get that perfect dress - mom already said she'd pay for half!

I think A.J. is a little mad at me cuz she had hoped that the two of us could just go together to the dance and now she's stuck all by herself. I keep telling her she should just ask someone but she's not listening. After all her pushing to get me to make a move on Kaelin and now she's acting like she'd rather pull out her own finger nails than ask someone out. I think she'll get over it soon enough.

Things at home have been fairly quiet. I don't think the 'rents have figured out the Christmas thing yet, but as long as they don't screw up the Winter Formal, I really don't care. I just want the holidays to be over! Well... maybe not New Year's. I am looking forward to that. Still don't know what the plan is, but I'm sure Kaelin will have some fabulous party to attend with me on his arm. Ok, now I'm getting a little delusional. Oh well. It's nice to fantasize!

I'm glad that I've figured out what to wear to this dance, though. Now all I need are some shoes and accessories and I'm set. I am usually so oblivious to fashion. Give me a pair of old jeans and a tank and I am good. But that won't exactly cut it for some fancy dance! I'm sure it will all come together in time, I'll just drag mom to the mall to help me pick some things out.
