December 25, 2003

Well, the fam has decided what to do about the Christmas dilemma - my dad is spending the holiday with us, at mom's. I thought it would be really tense, but dad came over this morning to watch us open presents and has been here all day helping cook dinner and it's been great. I guess they've decided to suck it up and be adults about the whole thing, which is a refreshing change. I'm sure they will go back to their cranky selves when the new year rolls around.

Amy and I scored pretty big this Christmas. Despite their new-found adult attitudes, the 'rents still felt in necessary to compete a bit in the present department. Got some wicked new clothes (which will come in handy now that I have a hot BF to impress), a new Discman and a bunch of CDs I've been dying for.

I feel like a spoiled brat for getting so excited about all the stuff I'm getting, but maybe I can make it up by volunteering at a soup kitchen or something over the holidays. Yeah, that's what I'll do. Maybe I can convince Kaelin or A.J. to join me in my humanitarian adventure. It's always more fun helping out a charity if you've got your friends by your side.

Getting pretty stoked about the big New Year's party that's coming up in a matter of days. I've never really been to a real New Year's party. My New Year's have usually been me and Amy playing board games with my parents, watching videos 'til midnight, then going to bed. But not this year! Oh no, this year will be spectacular, I can just feel it.

Sindy wishes you a Merry Christmas!

Okay so basically I used to go to this school and I met some of the people who I wish to be life long friends with. Problem: All of them go to a different school Problem: I go to a dumb boarding school and only get to spend 1 day and a half with them when i come back on fridays before I leave to go to school on Sundays. I really hate this school too. My sister graduated high school from here and my other sister is in her last year here. After this year I'm going to be all alone at this school. I'll have to be going here for the next seven years since its a middle and high school and I'm only in middle school. Plus my sisters are the best students there. Every time I tell people I'm the sister of Stephanie and Siri, they automatically have high expectations of me. But mainly,I just want to know how to keep in touch with my best friends. We can't even have phones at school so I can't talk to them during the week. [s:sm3/1jw0]

I understand how hard this must be. Because I should probably take this advice too.. I would try and focus on school lessons and ignore others. Don't be afraid to join a club! If you go to one that interests you then you might meet someone with common interests. I hope you get through this.
