any trick with 9 is that 9 times anything from 0 to 10, the two numbers will add up to 9, for example 9 times 5 equal 45, 4 plus 5 equals 9. another trick with 9 times anything from 1 to 10 is take the numbver your multiplying by for example 9 times 7, take the 7 minus 1 which will give you 6 then ask what do I have to add to 6 to get 9, which is 3, so 9 times 7 equals 63. I had a teacher that would make us write our multiplication tables starting with 1 times 1 to 1 times 12, up to 12 times 12
