What's worse than a school with tons of tests? A haunted school with tons of tests!

Author: Edward Bloor

Kate is an ordinary 13 year-old girl; it's her family that's insane. All she wants to do is sing in the Peter Pan play at her school and find out if Derek is interested in her. However, Kate's super-braniac 11 year-old uncle George has them both roped into going to the super-creepy Whittaker Magnet School by the even creepier Austin family who runs the place. Before she knows it, she's up to her neck in crazy teachers, stupid tests and murderous ghosts.

What Makes Story Time an A+ Haunted School Story?

Planting your nose in the pages of Story Time will get ink all over it. If you back your face up a few inches and read the story, you'll get a chance to visit a great batch of characters who are stuck in a school that makes them take tests all day long. What's great is that Story Time really comes to life with lots of interesting details and some really fun moments. Plus, the school is totally creepy - in a fun way.

Story Time Gets Failing Grades Because...

While the characters are great, Story Time loses marks because it takes a while to get into the story. Things don't get really interesting until you're about 100 pages in. Unfortunately, the end falls apart a bit by being a bit goofy rather than creepy.

Story Time's Final Review Grade

If you're looking for a slow-paced ghost story, Story Time is a good read. It's a bit shaky in some spots, but the characters totally make up for it.
