But, thanks to the Olsen twins, you can live vicariously through them as they rendezvous in the Big Apple - meeting cute boys, getting chased by international theives and they even have time for a manicure! New York Minute Mania
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen star in New York Minute as Jane and Roxy Ryan, twins who couldn't be more different. Roxy is a rebel who plays in a rock n' roll band (managed by the one and only Jack Osbourne) and skips school constantly, while Jane is a straight A student on her way to a scholarship at the prestigious Oxford University. They really can't stand being around one another but circumstance lands them lost in New York City together being chased by theives and a truancy officer (someone who chases down kids who skip school) who's a little too serious about his job. Jane is about to miss her opportunity to win her scholarship, so the girls band together to get themselves out of these sticky situations.New York Minute Marvelous Moments
It's understandable to be a bit skeptical about the merits of an Olsen twin movie. But, whether you've been a fan since their Full House beginnings or not, (by the way, Full House dad, Bob Saget, has a guest appearance in New York Minute), you should really think about checking this movie out. The girls really work great together - go figure. There are a ton of awesome characters that the twins get to interact with, like Eugene Levy (the dad from American Pie), Andie Richter (used to be Conan O'Brian's right-hand man), former SNL funnyman, Darrel Hammond and even Gilmore Girls' cutie, Jared Padalecki. Yup, there's never a dull moment in this flick, with the twins making their way through the sewer, Big Shirl's House of Bling and they even find themselves crowd surfing at a Simple Plan video shoot. You know what? There isn't one bad thing to say about New York Minute. It's supposed to be a light-hearted, adventure flick and that's exactly what you get.
