Sweet Valley High Series

Author:

The escapades of Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield and their pals at Sweet Valley High entranced readers decades before Gossip Girl hit the small screen. Now the series is being re-launched with the re-release of the first two books, Double Love and Secrets. We're checking them both out!

Sweet Valley High #1 Double Love

Identical twins Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield may look the same, but they're not afraid to [kwlink]assert their own personalities. Jessica is a cheerleader and ruthless go-getter while Elizabeth is a gentler, quieter girl who reports for the school's web site. But in Double Love, both twins seem to be falling for star athlete Todd Wilkins! The girls are in for the fight of the lifetime when they battle it out to win over Todd!

Sweet Valley High #2 Secrets

Jessica has positioned herself to be the next homecoming queen, but Elizabeth's best friend, Enid, is presenting some tough competition. Jessica gets the upper hand when uncovers Enid's dark secret, but is she ruthless enough to use it against her sister's BFF?

The Bottom Line

The SVH series was a huge phenomenon (it's even been referenced on The Simpson's and Veronica Mars) and it's set to take a whole new generation by storm. The outrageous stories are original but the text has been updated to include cell phones, e-mails, and blogs, which were unheard of when this series debuted way back in 1983. Check it out!

It's against the second amendment, and a terrible thing to do overall for reasons that probably don't need explaining. However, we do need to monitor who we do and don't give weapons to. As you said, it's not the gun that harms others. It's the people. You're talking about the person who threatened to cut off the funding of an entire state of our nation based on his interpretation of the constitution. The person who has bypassed the Republican controlled Congress on issues of immigration and healthcare. While Obama couldn't mess with the second amendment, he has the authority to pass heavy restrictions based on interpretation.  Honestly, this is why I support ratifying the second amendment. The term " well regulated militia" is far too narrow in this age of bureaucracy.

If someone has the intention of hurting people, do you think that gun laws will stop them? You said it yourself, they already intend to break the law by hurting others.
