If you have a pulse then you know about The Sims - it's the awesome PC video game from Electronic Arts that lets you make your own family of virtual people and lead them through life, work, relationships and more. Well, EA's latest version, The Sims 2, just went gold - which means it's finished and is shipping to stores near you right now! Check out what this new game can do and when you'll be able to get your own copy.

EA's The Sims 2 Virtual People Game Features

Just like in the original The Sims PC game you can make your sim-family, design their appearance, their attitude and even their home. Now, The Sims 2 takes it a few steps further with these new options:
  • Sim DNA - Your Sims can have kids and the kids will get a mix of their parents' attitude and looks.
  • Life Goals - Give your Sim a goal in life - fame, fortune, family or something else. Each goal changes the way your Sim behaves.
  • Sim Movies - Set up a play, turn on the Sim camera and make movie magic! Once an update to The Sims: Makin' Magic comes out, you may even be able to film a Sim Harry Potter movie.
These options also come with a way more detailed set of game graphics that'll let you zoom right in on your Sims for incredible detail. Plus, there will be more job, home and fashion options than ever!

The first game came out in 1991  ;) Anyway, I love Sonic! I stink at the games though lol My favorite characters are Knuckles and Charmy And I agree that this is the best single-player game ever!

At least you aren't restricted to TTC/or be only able to try the 3-day trial.  We're actually very lucky now; nonmembers don't give Disney a lick of money. I think Toontown is very different from Club Penguin.  It has a full plot and it's 3-Dimensional.  Also, you don't really do all that much in Club Penguin other than chat and do some mini-missions.  Also, the games were targeted to a different audience... and I feel that Toontown has more memories than Club Penguin; though that may be a bit biased as I don't really have any friends on Club Penguin (LOL), don't really play anymore anyway.

It's like club penguin, I've played it before and you have to pay for almost everything.
