Make Your Own Beaded Bobby Pins

Beaded bobby pins are stylish ornaments for your hair and they make awesome gifts for your friends. Plus, they're totally easy to make!

Hair Accessories - Materials:

Glass beads of assorted colors and shapes.

Bobby pins.

Wire.

Wire cutter (fingernail clippers work well too).

Hair Accessories - Instructions:

Hold the bobby pin with the flat side facing you.

Place a 20-inch wire through the bend of the bobby pin and cross the two ends of the wire over each other.

Cut the ends of the wire so the lengths are even (about 10 inches each).

Thread a single bead onto both wires and cross the two ends of the wire over each other again. Continue threading and crossing over until you come to the rubber tip of the bobby pin.

Wrap each wire end around the bobby pin several times to secure it.

Once you've made this simple beaded bobby pin, experiment with different bead shapes, color combos and designs.
