Hannah has crawled out of the Ice Caves and The Black Pawkeet has sailed into a Neopian harbour with a crew full of pirates! Something is definitely happening to Neopia and we have a sneak peek at what it is with our preview of the Curse of Maraqua expansion set for the Neopets Trading Card Game from Wizards of the Coast.

When the pirate ship, The Black Pawkeet, invaded Neopian waters a hero was needed to save the day. And here she is - Nereid the Water Faerie! She's a water hero with the ability to power-up all the other water Neopets and help them save the day.

What's Nereid good for? A one-turn power move! Use lots of water Neopets in your deck and then, when she comes out, use their boosted abilities to win a ton of challenges so you can bank everything in sight, including the kitchen sink and your neighbor's petpet. She's also great at winning challenges of course.
