SnowskatingWinter Sports - Skiboards
What do you get when you cross a pair of
skis with a
snowboard?
Skiboards, of course. Skiboards are perfect for pulling off many of the
tricks and stunts that you can do on snowboards. Shorter skiboards have
twin tips, can be used without poles and are best for
freestyle riding and
halfpipe tricks. Longer skiboards are a little bit wider in the middle and best suited for
carving and
big jumps. For more info on skiboards, head to

Winter Sports - Snowskates
Snowskates are basically skateboards that can be used in the snow. A snowskate has a similar
size and design as a skateboard and is ridden without bindings. They're perfect for
riding rails or
popping ollies during the winter. The other
advantages of snowskates are that they're much cheaper than a snowboard and you use them anywhere that has snow - so you won't have to pay for a lift ticket to start riding.
Winter Sports - Snowshoes
Snowshoes are one of the oldest methods of getting through the snow and have been around for over 6,000 years. It's a great
winter sport and is fun way of getting exercise and making your way through
winter conditions. Today's snowshoes and bindings are
way easier to use than the large and wide snowshoes of the past. Modern materials and designs cut down on weight and provide much better
traction and control. Snowshoes now come in all kinds of different sizes, shapes, colors and designs. If you're just learning to snowshoe, your best bet is to try out a pair of
all-purpose recreation snowshoes.
