2005 Gravity Games
Gravity GamesThe top
skiers and boarders on the planet are landing in Colorado for the
2005 Winter Gravity Games.
2005 Gravity Games - What?
The
Winter Gravity Games is an action sports and music festival featuring some of the world's best
snowboarders and skiers. The Games include
halfpipe and slopestyle events, as well as a skiercross and
boardercross competition. The four-day event will feature some of the year's
biggest airs,
sickest railslides and
wildest wipeouts.
2005 Gravity Games - Who?
The boarders and skiers at the
2005 Winter Gravity Games include the top finishers from other skiing and snowboarding events around the world:
Antti Autti - Teenage snowboarder from Finland who's snowboarding tricks are even wilder than his name. Antti took the gold in snowboarding superpipe at the 2005 Winter X Games.
Danny Kass - The former snowboarding silver medalist in halfpipe, Danny Kass will be looking to grab a medal in slopestyle and halfpipe at this year's Gravity Games.
Hannah Teter - This teen boarding babe from Vermont has won medals in SuperPipe at the last two Winter X Games and will be a favorite to land on the podium at the 2005 Gravity Games.
Janna Meyen - Janna is the queen of women's slopestyle snowboarding over the past few years, by winning just about every major competition she's entered. She could railslide in her sleep and makes landing 540s look easier than getting out of bed.
Tanner Hall - Tanner is a fan favorite for his gravity-defying maneuvers in both the skiing slopestyle and halfpipe events. He won two silver medals at the 2005 Winter X Games and will likely hit the podium at the Gravity Games.
2005 Gravity Games - When and Where?
The
2005 Gravity Games take place
March 3-6 at
Copper Mountain, Colorado. If you can't make it to Colorado to see the Games live, you can always catch them on television from March 27-30th on
Outdoor Life Network (
www.oln.com.)
2005 Gravity Games - Why?
What's better than watching the planet's best
freestyle boarders and skiers push their limits and do their best to defy gravity? Besides, there's nothing else worth watching at this time of year! The
NFL is over,
baseball doesn't start for another month,
the NHL's cancelled and you'll see more air at the
Gravity Games than you will at any
NBA game.
