Howl's Moving Castle DVD Review
Courtesy of BV PublicityHowl's Moving Castle is an animated movie from Hayao Miyazaki – the guy behind the excellent Studio Ghibli movies. It's all about 18 year-old Sophie and all the magical stuff that happens to her. From curses to fire demons, witches, a war and the famous wizard Howl. It's a wild story and we have the scoop on whether it's worth your movie bucks!
What's up with Howl's Moving Castle?
If you like
animated movies, this one's a beauty! From Howl's monstrous clanking beast of a castle all the way to the
Witch of the Waste, the animation is pure candy for the eyes. The
voice acting is rock solid and the voice of
Howl is Christian Bale,
Batman in the new
Batman Begins movie! The best news is that the story is really good too - it's all about Sophie as she makes
new friends, has crazy adventures and struggles with a
curse.
Curses and Black Magic in Howl's Moving Castle
Here's the thing,
Howl's Moving Castle isn't an
action movie. Chunks of it are slow so if you're expecting
huge battles or
alien monsters, this isn't the movie for you. Also, everybody is way too friendly, even when someone is really nasty to them and hurts them, they're
friends again right after. It gets weak after one person keeps trying to hurt everyone around Sophie and isn't nice to anyone.

Howl's Moving Castle - The Bottom Line
If you're in the mood for an
awesome film to chill out to,
Howl's Moving Castle is a serious dose of coolness for your eyes, ears and brain. Check it out and bring a
friend so you can talk about it afterwards. This movie is too
weird to describe and too cool to not talk about.
