Paintball Gear

Dec 27, 2006

What's more fun than firing paint at your friends? Find out more about the gear you need for paintball fun.

Paintball Gear - Markers

The type of paintball marker or gun you should get depends on your skill level.
  • For beginner paintball players, use a marker that's smaller and less expensive - upgrade to a better marker if and when you start playing more.
  • When starting out, use a carbon dioxide pressure system. It's more common, safer and reliable than other high-pressure systems.
  • Use bright colored paintballs if playing in a wooded area and store your paintballs in a cool, dry place.
  • Paintball Gear - Protection

Protective equipment is the most important paintball gear you'll buy. It can protect you from serious injury to your face and body, so make sure you pick up gear that's right for you.
  • Wear a vest to protect your back, chest and kidneys.
  • ALWAYS USE PAINTBALL GOGGLES! This is probably the most important piece of safety equipment for paintball. Get a set of goggles that come with a shield, that will also protect your forehead, ears and jaw.
  • Elbow and knee pads are also a good idea to protect you when crawling or sliding around. Wearing a good pair of gloves is also recommended.
  • Paintball Gear - Safety Reminders

  • Paintball is a really fun and safe sport - as long as you wear proper protection and play safe.
  • Always play on a proper paintball course with adult supervision.
  • Never fire a paintball marker or gun inside your house, school or anywhere else besides a proper paintball course.
  • If you're not a big fan of heading outdoors to fire paint at your friends, you can alwas stay inside and get your paintball fix by playing Kidzworld's online paintball game. Just click here to start playing.
