Book Review - Edge Chronicles: The Curse of the Gloamglozer

Welcome to The Edge Chronicles! The Curse of the Gloamglozer is the fourth book in this fantasy series that's all about an incredible world of floating rocks, sky pirates, strange creatures and adventure. This book follows two kids, Quint and Maris, the son of a sky pirate and the daughter of the Most High Academe of the floating city of Sanctaphrax. But, are their adventures fun or could they put a floating stone to sleep?
The Curse of Gloamglozer - Flying High
It's Quint and Maris vs. the world, or at least the sneaky bunch of
nerds and thugs that run the city of
Sanctaphrax. From battling Earth and Sky scholars to arguing with each other and trying to solve a great big
mystery, Maris and Quint have their hands full. They have
adventures, run screaming from
horrible monsters and uncover
secret plots.
The Curse of the Gloamglozer - Adventure and Excitement!
Without a doubt, this book is a
great story and worth reading. The whole world is
weird enough, and cool enough, to keep you turning pages to see what's next. It's also well written and brings all the people and
places to life. But, even though the world is totally weird, everything makes sense and all the characters seem like
real people who just happen to live in a
wacky world.
The Curse of Gloamglozer - Doom and Gloom
The biggest problem with the Curse of the Gloamglozer is that it's not
action-packed. To really get into this book you need to spend some quality time digging into it so it's not a great book to read on the
bus or at
recess. Also, if you've read the first
three books in The Edge Chronicles, this story is a prequel, not a sequel, and doesn't have much to do with them!
The Edge Chronicles Final Word
If you're looking for a good book to read, and not some sort of
popcorn book that you'll finish in one bus ride,
The Edge Chronicles: The Curse of the Gloamglozer is a great pick. It's annoying that it doesn't continue the other books, but if you're new to the series, it's a great start and you can read the first three without having spoiled any of their secrets.
