This thing is part battering ram and part... well, ok, it's all battering ram. It has a great first attack, pick an enemy goon and give him a face full of high-speed horn to cause 40 damage. The trick is to make sure that this thing gets to do that every turn, otherwise it has a fairly ho-hum attack. But, it has a ton of Hit Points and good Defense so it's going to stick around the battlefield for a long time!Star Wars Miniatures: Dr. Evazan Fig Info

Star Wars Miniatures: Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan Tips
These two goons come from the very first Star Wars movie ever, A New Hope. They get into a fight with Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine and Ponda Baba gets his arm lightsabered off. Ouch! They aren't powerful figs in the Star Wars Miniatures game, but they're cheap if you have both of them! Dr. Evazan makes a half-decent doctor if you need to fix your troops, keep him back and cross your fingers! Ponda Baba is decent as a goon, especially against Unique characters. Have him get all mean on your opponent's heroes and he should take more than one shot to drop.Star Wars Miniatures: Universe Huge Sneak Peek Images 4

Say hello to a squad leader! Give this guy a bunch of low-cost, double-shot, ranged attacker goons. Split them into two groups, have Han chill by one while they all use his Commander Effect, then move him over to the second group so they can use it too. If you can pull it off, your opponent is in deep trouble! He's a bit too expensive to use just for his Special Abilities though, you really need to make his Commander Effect work for you.Star Wars Miniatures: Tusken Raider on Bantha Info

Wow, this fig is a whole lot of WHAM for a nice cheap cost. It has solid Defense and Hit Points plus enough Damage to crush stuff. Charge in with it, slam something, keep moving around and knocking figs down. If your opponent is hiding a medical droid behind his troops, the Sniper ability lets this fig blast it to bits, ditto for a repair robot like the ASP-7. This is a solid fig that can do a lot of handy stuff, plus you have an excuse for making Tusken Raider noises while you play! Well, ok, maybe not. :oPStar Wars Miniatures: Universe Huge Sneak Peek Images 3

These butt-kicking droids are marching right out of the pages of the Star Wars comics. There isn't a lot of strategy for these guys, they're just really powerful troops with lots of Hit Points, decent Defense, good Attack, and solid Damage. Try to get your opponent to clump up some of his troops so you can hit 'em all at once with Missiles though, that's good fun.Star Wars Miniatures: Hailfire Droid Figure Info

The bad news is that, even with its Damage Reduction, this droid gets blown up pretty easy, it's also tricky to move it around because it's huge and can't squeeze through doorways. The good news is that it can do insane damage to an entire cluster of figs when it attacks and, because it's wheeled, it can cross the battlefield in one turn! Stick it behind cover, wait for your opponent to clump up some of his figs, then roll it out and hose them down with missiles. BBQ'd bad guys, yum!Star Wars Miniatures: Universe Huge Sneak Peek Images 2

Rip, tear, crush, chew, destroy! This huge stompy monster is good for marching into the middle of your opponents troops on turn one and then munching them up for the rest of the game. Its Melee Reach 2 means that opponents won't be able to move away from it easily and it'll be really easy to use its Triple Attack without having to move it. Unfortunately, with its low Hit Points and the weak Regeneration power, the Rancor is going to get blasted apart, fast. If there was some way to get rid of the Savage ability so you could use Commander Effects and power this brute up, it would be much cooler.Star Wars Miniatures: Nightsister Sith Witch Info

If you're using giant monsters like the Rancor, one of these is perfect for your team. They let you control the beasts normally and can still blast bad guys into little smoking pieces with their Force Lightning.Star Wars Miniatures: Universe Huge Sneak Peek Images

Um, wow. If you have one of these, celebrate with a giant Star Wars party dance! Then stick one of these somewhere where it can see the whole battlefield, team it up with a hand-to-hand lightsaber fighter in case your opponent gets too close (try Grievous's bodyguard droids for tons of fun) and blast everything. If you have to fight one of these, rush it with Wookies or Jedi and destroy it, fast. They're worse than indestructible against figs with guns, they actually hurt them for trying to attack them.Star Wars Miniatures: Clone Trooper Figure Info

They have good attacks and terrible defense. Get a hero-type character to stand in front of them so the enemy can't vaporize them with a well-thrown booger and have them shoot the important bits off the bad guys. Oh, and watch out for the Emperor, Order 66 means he pwnz these guys.More Star Wars Previews to Come!
