Star Wars Miniatures: Universe Huge Sneak Peek Images 5

Dr. Evazan is a horrible doctor and a criminal who has the death sentence in 12 systems. Ponda Baba is a thug, a bounty hunter and a friend of Dr. Evazan. He got into a fight with Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and lost an arm.
The Reek is a giant stompy monster that tried to flatten Obi-Wan, Princess Amidala and Anakin Skywalker in the arena of Geonesis.

Star Wars Miniatures: Reek Fig Info

Figure: Reek
Faction: Fringe
Cost: 51
Hit Points: 200
Defense: 17
Attack: +12
Damage: 20
Set #: 27/60
Rarity: Uncommon
Special Abilities:

  • Savage - (This character must end its move next to an enemy if it can and does not benefit from commander effects)
  • Charging Assault +20 - (Replaces turn: Can move up to 12 squares, then make an attack at +20 Damage against an adjacent enemy)
  • Melee Attack - (Can attack only adjacent enemies)

Star Wars Miniatures: Reek Strategy Tips

This thing is part battering ram and part... well, ok, it's all battering ram. It has a great first attack, pick an enemy goon and give him a face full of high-speed horn to cause 40 damage. The trick is to make sure that this thing gets to do that every turn, otherwise it has a fairly ho-hum attack. But, it has a ton of Hit Points and good Defense so it's going to stick around the battlefield for a long time!

Star Wars Miniatures: Dr. Evazan Fig Info

Figure: Dr. Evazan
Faction: Fringe
Cost: 10
Hit Points: 30
Defense: 13
Attack: +3
Damage: 10
Set #: 17/60
Rarity: Very Rare
Special Abilities:

  • Unique
  • Homicidal Surgery - (Replaces turn: touch; deal 10 damage to a non-Droid character. An allied character can instead remove 10 damage from itself with a save of 11.)
  • Rapport - (Ponda Baba costs 1 less when in the same squad as this character)

Star Wars Miniatures: Ponda Baba Fig Info

Figure: Ponda Baba
Faction: Fringe
Cost: 9
Hit Points: 30
Defense: 15
Attack: +5
Damage: 10
Set #: 24/60
Rarity: Rare
Special Abilities:

  • Unique
  • Bounty Hunter +4 - (+4 Attack against Unique enemies)
  • Rapport - (Dr. Evazan costs 1 less when in the same squad as this character)

Star Wars Miniatures: Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan Tips

These two goons come from the very first Star Wars movie ever, A New Hope. They get into a fight with Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine and Ponda Baba gets his arm lightsabered off. Ouch! They aren't powerful figs in the Star Wars Miniatures game, but they're cheap if you have both of them! Dr. Evazan makes a half-decent doctor if you need to fix your troops, keep him back and cross your fingers! Ponda Baba is decent as a goon, especially against Unique characters. Have him get all mean on your opponent's heroes and he should take more than one shot to drop.

Star Wars Miniatures: Universe Huge Sneak Peek Images 4

Han Solo, Rebel Hero is the captain of the Millennium Falcon, a bit of a trouble maker and friends with the Wookie Chewbacca. The big hairy Bantha is the favored mount of the Tusken Raiders, like the ones that killed Anakin's mom in Episode II.

Star Wars Miniatures: Han Solo, Rebel Hero Fig Info

Figure: Han Solo, Rebel Hero
Faction: Rebel
Cost: 35
Hit Points: 90
Defense: 19
Attack: +11
Damage: 20
Set #: 47/60
Rarity: Rare
Special Abilities:

  • Unique
  • Accurate Shot - (Can attack an enemy with cover even if it's not the nearest enemy)
  • Cunning Attack - (+4 Attack and +10 Damage against an enemy who has not activated this round)
  • Mobile Attack - (Can move both before and after attacking)

  • Force Powers:
  • Force 1
  • Commander Effect:
  • Followers within 6 squares gain Advantageous Attack - (+10 Damage against an enemy who has not activated this round)

Star Wars Miniatures: Han Solo, Rebel Hero Strategy Tips

Say hello to a squad leader! Give this guy a bunch of low-cost, double-shot, ranged attacker goons. Split them into two groups, have Han chill by one while they all use his Commander Effect, then move him over to the second group so they can use it too. If you can pull it off, your opponent is in deep trouble! He's a bit too expensive to use just for his Special Abilities though, you really need to make his Commander Effect work for you.

Star Wars Miniatures: Tusken Raider on Bantha Info

Figure: Tusken Raider on Bantha
Faction: Fringe
Cost: 22
Hit Points: 90
Defense: 18
Attack: +5
Damage: 20
Set #: 30/60
Rarity: Uncommon
Special Abilities:

  • Mighty Swing - (On his turn, if this character doesn't move, he gets +10 Damage against adjacent enemies)
  • Momentum - (If this character has moved this turn, he gets +4 Attack and +10 Damage against adjacent enemies)
  • Sniper - (Other characters do not provide cover against this character's attack)

Star Wars Miniatures: Tusken Raider on Bantha Tips

Wow, this fig is a whole lot of WHAM for a nice cheap cost. It has solid Defense and Hit Points plus enough Damage to crush [kwlink]stuff[/kwlink]. Charge in with it, slam something, keep moving around and knocking figs down. If your opponent is hiding a [kwlink]medical droid[/kwlink] behind his troops, the Sniper ability lets this fig blast it to bits, ditto for a repair robot like the ASP-7. This is a solid fig that can do a lot of handy stuff, plus you have an excuse for making Tusken Raider noises while you play! Well, ok, maybe not. :oP

Star Wars Miniatures: Universe Huge Sneak Peek Images 3

The Dark Trooper Phase III droid is a powerful soldier developed to be the ultimate Stormtrooper by the Emperor in the Star Wars Dark Empire comic books. The Hailfire Droid was part of the Trade Federation's droid army in the Star Wars Episode II and Episode III movies.

Star Wars Miniatures: Dark Trooper Phase III Info

Figure: Dark Trooper Phase III
Faction: Imperial
Cost: 25
Hit Points: 80
Defense: 17
Attack: +10
Damage: 20
Set #: 36/60
Rarity: Uncommon
Special Abilities:

  • Droid - (Immune to critical hits; not subject to commander effects)
  • Missiles 20 - (Replaces attacks: sight; 20 damage to target and to each character adjacent to that target; save 11)

Star Wars Miniatures: Dark Trooper Phase III Strategy Tips

These butt-kicking [kwlink]droids[/kwlink] are marching right out of the pages of the Star Wars comics. There isn't a lot of strategy for these guys, they're just really powerful troops with lots of Hit Points, decent Defense, good Attack, and solid Damage. Try to get your opponent to clump up some of his troops so you can hit 'em all at once with Missiles though, that's good fun.

Star Wars Miniatures: Hailfire Droid Figure Info

Figure: Hailfire Droid
Faction: Separatist
Cost: 36
Hit Points: 60
Defense: 13
Attack: +8
Damage: 30
Set #: 8/60
Rarity: Uncommon
Special Abilities:

  • Droid - (Immune to critical hits; not subject to commander effects)
  • Damage Reduction 10 - (Whenever this character takes damage, reduce the damage dealt by 10. Adjacent enemies with lightsabers ignore this special ability)
  • Missiles 40 - (Replaces attacks: sight; 40 damage to target and to each character adjacent to that target; save 11)
  • Mounted Weapon - (Only allies with Mounted Weapon or adjacent allies with Gunner can combine fire with this character)
  • Rigid - (Can't squeeze)
  • Wheeled - (Replaces turn: Can move up to 18 squares, then attack)

Star Wars Miniatures: Hailfire Droid Strategy Tips

The bad news is that, even with its Damage Reduction, this [kwlink]droid[/kwlink] gets blown up pretty easy, it's also tricky to move it around because it's huge and can't squeeze through doorways. The good news is that it can do insane damage to an entire cluster of figs when it attacks and, because it's [kwlink]wheeled[/kwlink], it can cross the battlefield in one turn! Stick it behind cover, wait for your opponent to clump up some of his figs, then roll it out and hose them down with missiles. BBQ'd bad guys, yum!

Star Wars Miniatures: Universe Huge Sneak Peek Images 2

The Rancor is a horrible monster that Jabba the Hutt kept for eating his prisoners in the Star Wars Return of the Jedi movie. A Nightsister Sith Witch is an evil Force-user from the Star Wars comic books.

Star Wars Miniatures: Rancor Figure Info

Figure: Rancor
Faction: Fringe
Cost: 33
Hit Points: 100
Defense: 18
Attack: +8
Damage: 20
Set #: 26/60
Rarity: Very Rare
Special Abilities:

  • Savage - (This character must end its move next to an enemy if it can and does not benefit from commander effects)
  • Melee Attack - (Can only attack adjacent enemies)
  • Melee Reach 2 - (Enemies up to 2 squares away are considered adjacent for purposes of Melee Attack)
  • Regeneration 10 - (If this character doesn't move on its turn, remove 10 damage from it at the end of that turn)
  • Speed 8 - (Can move up to 8 squares and attack, or 16 squares without attacking)
  • Triple Attack - (On its turn, this character can make 2 extra attacks instead of moving)

Star Wars Miniatures: Rancor Strategy Tips

Rip, tear, crush, chew, destroy! This [kwlink]huge stompy monster[/kwlink] is good for marching into the middle of your opponents troops on turn one and then munching them up for the rest of the game. Its Melee Reach 2 means that opponents won't be able to move away from it easily and it'll be really easy to use its Triple Attack without having to move it. Unfortunately, with its low Hit Points and the weak Regeneration power, the Rancor is going to get blasted apart, fast. If there was some way to get rid of the Savage ability so you could use Commander Effects and power this brute up, it would be much cooler.

Star Wars Miniatures: Nightsister Sith Witch Info

Figure: Nightsister Sith Witch
Faction: Imperial
Cost: 17
Hit Points: 60
Defense: 16
Attack: +8
Damage: 20
Set #: 39/60
Rarity: Uncommon
Special Abilities:

  • Empathy - (Allies with Savage within 6 squares lose Savage)
  • Melee Attack - (Can only attack adjacent enemies)

  • Force Powers:
  • Force 3
  • Force Lightning - (Force 2, replaces attacks: range 6; 30 damage to target and 2 characters adjacent to that target)

Star Wars Miniatures: Nightsister Sith Witch Strategy Tips

If you're using giant monsters like the Rancor, one of these is perfect for your team. They let you control the beasts normally and can still blast bad guys into little smoking pieces with their Force Lightning.

Star Wars Miniatures: Universe Huge Sneak Peek Images

This X-1 Viper Droid fig is a monster battle droid from the Star Wars Dark Empire comic books. A Clone Trooper from the Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith movies. If you've seen one, you've seen them all.

Star Wars Miniatures: X-1 Viper Droid Figure Info

Figure: X-1 Viper Droid
Faction: Fringe
Cost: 46
Hit Points: 130
Defense: 16
Attack: +8
Damage: 30
Set #: 32/60
Rarity: Uncommon
Special Abilities:

  • Droid - (Immune to critical hits; not subject to commander effects)
  • Double Attack - (On his turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving)
  • Molecular Shielding - (When hit by an attack from a nonadjacent enemy, this character takes no damage and the attacker takes damage equal to the prevented damage; the attacker can avoid this effect with a save of 11)
  • Mounted Weapon - (Only allies with Mounted Weapon or adjacent allies with Gunner can combine fire with this character)
  • Rigid - (Can't squeeze)

Star Wars Miniatures: X-1 Viper Droid Strategy Tips

Um, wow. If you have one of these, celebrate with a giant Star Wars party dance! Then stick one of these somewhere where it can see the whole battlefield, team it up with a hand-to-hand [kwlink]lightsaber fighter[/kwlink] in case your opponent gets too close (try [kwlink]Grievous's[/kwlink] bodyguard droids for tons of fun) and blast everything. If you have to fight one of these, rush it with [kwlink]Wookies[/kwlink] or Jedi and destroy it, fast. They're worse than indestructible against figs with guns, they actually hurt them for trying to attack them.

Star Wars Miniatures: Clone Trooper Figure Info

Figure: Clone Trooper
Faction: Republic
Cost: 9
Hit Points: 10
Defense: 13
Attack: +6
Damage: 20
Set #: 1/60
Rarity: Common
Special Abilities:

  • Order 66

Star Wars Miniatures: Elite Clone Trooper Figure Info

Figure: Elite Clone Trooper
Faction: Republic
Cost: 11
Hit Points: 20
Defense: 14
Attack: +8
Damage: 20
Set #: 3/60
Rarity: Common
Special Abilities:

  • Order 66

Star Wars Miniatures: Clone Trooper Strategy Tips

They have good attacks and terrible defense. Get a [kwlink]hero-type[/kwlink] character to stand in front of them so the enemy can't vaporize them with a well-thrown booger and have them shoot the important bits off the bad guys. Oh, and watch out for the Emperor, Order 66 means he pwnz these guys.
