T.J. Lavin - Born To Ride
T.J. Lavin was born on December 7, 1976 in
Las Vegas, Nevada. He first started riding bikes when he was two and raced
BMX until he was 15, when he gave up racing to try
dirt jumping. The big air and creativity of dirt jumping had T.J. hooked on the sport and he
dominated dirt jumping competitions across the
United States, before turning pro at the age of 19.

T.J. Lavin has become one of the most dominant riders in BMX dirt jumping. Lavin's
huge superman tricks and unique style has made him a winner at the biggest action sports events, including the
X Games and
Dew Action Sports Tour. But Lavin does much more than just ride BMX bikes - he also spends hours
creating new obstacles to ride, and spends as much time building jumps as he does flying over them. Lavin has a
one-acre BMX track in his backyard which includes several groomed trails and dirt jumps.

T.J. Lavin was on his school's wrestling team in high school.
When he's not riding bikes, T.J. Lavin loves making music. He taught himself to play the piano and has a music studio in his home in Las Vegas.
T.J. Lavin's favorite sport, other than BMX, is motocross.
