Gary got an from Dreamadream422 that said "I can't figure out how to rescue Ron from the willow tree in the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Xbox game. I like the game but I can't get past this part, please help!" So it's time for a Harry Potter game cheat! In this case it's a walkthrough on getting past the Whomping Willow.

Whomping the Willow in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

At the beginning of the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets video game Harry's good buddy Ron Weasely gets grabbed by a gigantic, cranky plant called a Whomping Willow. Getting him down is a bit tricky. Here's how to do it.

As soon as you enter the Whomping Willow area, back up.

More than that, back up even further.

Keep backing up!

Once you're all the way back, it can't hit you but you can still hit it.

It will wave a bunch of branches around, just stay put.

When it opens its big yellow eye, lock on and Flipendo it!

After a few shots, it'll freak out, close its eye and whomp a bunch.

Stay back and wait for it to calm down and open its eye again.

Keep blasting it in the eye until it finally drops Ron.

You win!

If you do end up getting whomped by the willow, Hedwig flies by and drops power-ups so you can get your health back up. Don't pet owls rule?
