Book Review - Another NASTYbook
Courtesy of Harper CollinsAuthor: Barry Yourgrau
Stories usually have bad beginnings and happily ever after endings - but not this one. Another NASTYbook: The Curse of the Tweeties is wickedly nasty, rude and the furthest you can get from a fairy tale.
Another NASTYbook: The Curse of the Tweeties - Weirdly Normal
Rollo is an
average kid from an average family. He loves
comic books and candy bars, and hates his older sister, Noreen. But what happens next is completely out of the ordinary - during a family picnic in the park, Rollo's mom is
kidnapped by stinky goblins and dragged off to Fairyland! If you think that's
weird, you ain't seen nothing yet.
Another NASTYbook: The Curse of the Tweeties - Samurai Stick Boy
Armed with a backpack full of candy bars, his fave comic book and his
street hockey samurai stick, Rollo sets off on a
daring mission to rescue his mom. Along the way, he encounters the Tweeties, who are both cursed with a sweet tooth that leads to
tragic consequences, a set of fake
false teeth that talk, and one heck of a stressed out goblin who's itching for a one-way ticket out of Fairyland.
Another NASTYbook: The Curse of the Tweeties - Bottom Line
So how does an
anti-fairy tale end? Though you'll have to find out for yourself, we'll give away one hint - it's not going to be what you expect! Another NASTYbook even turns into a
manga comic for awhile. As Rollo would say, that's
double co-o-olness packed into a single book.
Another NASTYbook: The Curse of the Tweeties Rating:
