Ken Doll Review

Dec 27, 2006

The planet's favorite guy doll is back! Just in time for Valentine's Day, Ken is revealing two new looks, which he's hoping will put him back in the arms of Barbie. As you probably remember, Barbie ditched Ken two years ago and started dating Blaine - a hunky surfer from Australia.

Ken's first look for a Barbie love connection was put together by Hollywood stylist, Phillip Bloch, and includes torn, rough jeans, a weathered motocross leather jacket, vintage t-shirt and rugged boots. You'll also notice, Ken is sporting some longer, wavier hair. This look does make Ken look a bit more rugged, but the over-the-shoulder bag embossed with rhinestones doesn't really go with the rest of this tough-guy look.

His second new style is the Beach Fun look, reflecting Ken's beach boy roots. He's wearing board shorts, shades, a white-shirt and sun-bleached hair. It's a simpler look but perhaps a better reflection of the real Ken. So far, Barbie and her publicist are refusing to comment on the doll's personal life. What do you think? Which of Ken's new makeovers will lead to renewed love with Barbie? The rugged, tough new Ken? Or the back to basics Beach Fun Ken? Vote in our online poll below!
