Does the summer weather getting you psyched about surfing? It's never too late to start. BHolly Beck - the surfer babe from Palos Verdes, California only started riding waves when she was 15. She's now considered one of the best female surfers around.

Holly Beck - Surf Story

Holly Beck first picked up a surfboard in 1995 while she was on a family vacation in Waikiki, Hawaii. Her mom wasn't too impressed because she thought surfing was dangerous, but Holly loved the sport and she began practicing when she returned to California. Holly Beck borrowed an old board from her uncle and started riding waves every day at 4 am at a beach near her house. She later joined her high school surf team and in her first year won the Bay League Championship. In 1996, Holly Beck began surfing in the National Scholastic Surfing Association and won titles in the open and explorers division. Her success with the NSSA gave Holly some big time exposure and got her sponsored by the world's biggest surfboard maker - Rusty Surfboards.

Holly Beck - Boardin' Babe

The only thing better than a girl that's a great surfer is a hot girl that's a great surfer. Holly Beck's combo of major babeness and serious boardness has allowed her to start a very successful modelling career. She's now done model/surf shoots in Mexico, Hawaii, and California and has been featured in Teen People and Rolling Stone. In 2003, Holly Beck starred in the WB show, Boarding House: North Shore, a reality TV show about a group of surfers living together and competing in the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.

Holly Beck - Studious Surfer

Along with surfing, Holly Beck is also working hard at UCLA where she studies something called management science. Holly Beck hopes to keep modelling and begin a career in television journalism. Holly even finds time to pass her surfing skills on to her ten year-old sister who has already started hitting the waves. Holly Beck thinks her sister could become an even better surfer than she is one day.

I'm ten.  And almost any trick in the book.  I can do no foot and no hands at the same time, can do over 200 jumps, can go up and down a curb, can go off a curb with no hands, and can do the twister.  Although, today I'm having a mental block with the twister. xD    Oh yeah, and I forgot like the jump within a jump, and the split jump.

Uhmm the only way I think you can convince them is by just telling them you really enjoy pogosticking and then just ask them if they can get ya one. Yeah, I guess so.  But I doubt without persuasion they would get me one.  Those things are a parent's nightmare.  (Lost teeth, broken arm, etc. xD) True, true. Maybe you can make a deal with them? Like, "If I get all A's by the end of the school year can i get this pogostick?" or "If I do yardwork for the next *blah blah blah* weeks can I get this pogostick?" You can butter 'em up before you ask too.   I'm homeschooled. :P
