Super Princess Peach: DS Video Game Review

Dec 27, 2006

The Mushroom Kingdom would be a way happier place if it wasn't for that turtle-jerk Bowser! This time he's gone to Vibe Island, recovered the powerful Vibe Staff, and used its power to attack the royal palace. Mario and Luigi were taken captive, but Princess Peach was out having a walk, so now it's up to her and her talking umbrella to save the day in the new Super Princess Peach video game for the Nintendo DS. Here's out review.

Saving the Day With Princess Peach

This game is a monster-stomping, coin-collecting, platform-jumping adventure like so many other Mario games, but this time it's Princess Peach to the rescue! She swings a mean umbrella, has emotion-based powers, and can purchase new abilities from a store with coins.

Princess Peach's Super Powers

Not only is this game very cool and cute looking with a ton of items, songs, mini-games, and puzzle pieces to collect, Princess Peach also kicks butt! She has a bunch of emotion-powered abilities she can use if her Vibe Bar is charged up. From gushing tears that water plants to flying through the air with happiness and burning things with rage, these powers let her pass levels, beat bosses and save the day!

Things That Make Princess Peach Cry

Ok, um, hello? Princess Peach stars in an awesome video game and her powers are all about out-of-control emotions? Talk about gender inequality! Other than that, it's a great game that's just a bit too easy for experienced gamers.

Princess Peach vs. Bowser!

Score one for the Princess! Her Nintendo DS game not only looks great but it's fun to play and easy enough that anyone can pick it up and enjoy it. Experienced gamers will probably get sick of it, but it's a great game for just having fun.
