Little Man DVD Review
Courtesy of SonyThe Wayans brothers are back in all their low-brow glory with the new flick, Little Man. Marlon Wayans plays a pint-sized criminal who poses as a baby to steal a diamond in this latest movie and we have the goods on whether it's a hit or a miss!
Little Man - Big Jokes?
Little Man is the most recent movie from the Wayans brother
movie-making team. The boys have banded together to bring you a slap-stick comedy about a midget-criminal who poses as
a baby so he'll be taken in by an unsuspecting couple, after he stashes
a stolen diamond in the wife's purse. Calvin (Marlon Wayans) plays up his new role with enthusiasm and is soon
snuggling in a crib, being bathed by his new "parents" and playing with the other babies
on the playground. As you would expect, the jokes are crude, the dialogue is politically incorrect and then they throw in a few
more crude jokes for good measure.
Little Man - When's The Next Scary Movie?
The Wayans brothers are most famous for their
Scary Movies but unfortunately, Little Man doesn't quite live up to the
hilarity of those films. Sure, dressing a grown man up as a baby and throwing him into situations that a grown man would rarely find himself in
could be entertaining. But can a movie be held together on
poo jokes alone? Not really.
Little Man - DVD Features
Little Man is a flick that took a lot of
movie magic to make it happen. On the DVD, you'll get to see exactly how they were able to make Marlon into
a pint-sized thief - with the help of CGI. Listen to commentary from
the Wayans about their experience filming the movie and check out hilarious
deleted scenes!
Little Man - Bottom Line
While Little Man starts off somewhat funny, but as
the plot thickens (or in this case, thins) you really will be
tapping your toes and looking at your watch every few minutes. There are a few funny cameos from peeps like
Rob Schneider and Molly Shannon, but not even these
Saturday Night Live funny folk can save the flick. If you're looking for a Wayans fix, you're better off renting
White Chicks or one of their many Scary Movies.
