Destiny's Child - Survivor CD Review

The three remaining survivors that weren't kicked off the island, or out of the band in this case, Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle are back with their latest CD Survivor. Having survived numerous line-up changes with success the title seems quite fitting.

Expect the same kind of empowering songs like Independent Women Part 1 from the Charlie's Angels soundtrack. The song also appears on the CD along with Independent Women Part 2. The first booty-shaking single Survivor is a positive uplifting song along the lines of Gloria Gaynor's classic I Will Survive. Tracks like Bootylicious and Nasty Girl (triple snap in a 'z' formation) will make you wanna shake your thang. Blending vocal harmonies, Destiny-style, is what the girls do best and this album is full of great R&B dance tracks.

Another great thing about the CD is the funky drum 'n bass beats and great sounds that'll get you moving. On the softer side of things, snuggle up to your boyfriend or girlfriend and check out the gentle acoustic strums of Emotion and Dangerously In Love. Beyonce and the girls even wrote and co-wrote almost all of the songs on the album. If you're into Destiny's Child already, then you're gonna dig this CD and if you're not then what are you waiting for? Survivor will get your stereo pumpin' pumpin' and it'll be jumpin' jumpin' to the top of the charts in no time.
