Jesse Metcalfe - Acting Aspirations

As a kid growing up in Waterford, Connecticut, Jesse Metcalfe didn't dream of becoming a big Hollywood actor. Upon graduation, Jesse headed to New York's Tisch School of the Arts to try his hand at becoming a director. But, when an open casting call for a daytime soap opera was held, Jesse decided to give it a shot. Little did he know what that one casting call would lead to.

Jesse Metcalfe - Big Break

Immediately, Jesse was cast in Passions as Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald, the hottie with a crush on the mysterious blonde, Charity Standish (who eventually turns into a zombie). Jesse spent five years on Passions, but in 2004, decided to move onto bigger and better things. He made a few appearances on the WB show Smallville before landing his biggest role yet.

Jesse Metcalfe - Here's To You Mrs. Robinson

In 2004, Jesse Metcalfe made the move from daytime soaps to primetime drama by landing the role of John Rowland on the Emmy-award winning show, Desperate Housewives. John Rowland was the young, attractive gardener hired by Eva Longoria's character, Gabriella Solis - who eventually seduces John in order to get back at her neglectful husband. Jesse didn't make too many appearances on the show in season two, but word on the street is that fans can expect to see him back on the small screen in season three!

Jesse Metcalfe - Did U Know?

Jesse Metcalfe will make his big screen debut in the flick John Tucker Must Die, which hits theaters on July 28, 2006. The movie also stars Sophia Bush of One Tree Hill, Ashanti, Brittany Snow and Arielle Kebbel from Gilmore Girls.

Jesse Metcalfe has appeared on the MTV show, Punk'd, twice - once helping Ashton Kutcher punk Eva Longoria, and once being punk'd by Ashton during the Spider-Man 3 audition.
