The Simpsons Wrestling :: Playstation Game Review
Put the Simpsons and wrestling together and what do you get? A slammin' good time in 10 different wrestling arenas around Springfield with over a dozen of your fave Springfielders knocking the stuffing out of each other.
The wrestlers are a hoot. They've got the real voices from the Simpsons TV show and a ton of taunts to liven up the match. There are lots of wrestlers to choose from, including extra characters and an Itchy and Scratchy match. But that's it for the good news.
Like a lot of big name games The Simpsons Wrestling has problems. First off the graphics are hurting. The characters sound great but look chunky. It's like someone was trying to get the Jet Grind Radio look on the Playstation. Big Ape Studios tried, but it's pretty rough.
Once you're past the graphics the controls are a joke. They're easy to learn cuz there's only three buttons and limited special moves. But a lot of the moves you pull don't connect properly and if they do connect there's not much difference in the damage.
The Simpsons Wrestling has the coolest characters from Springfield and a wicked sense of humor. The rest of it just doesn't make the grade. If you're a hardcore Simpson fan you'll get a kick out of it, but it's a rental game.
