PixelBlocks are tiny blocks based on the tiniest dots of color you see on your computer or television screen called pixels - short for picture elements. PixelBlocks come in a single shaped block and can be stacked top-to-bottom or locked together side-to-side. The unique shape of the PixelBlocks means you can build 2-D designs or 3-D models and they come in 20 different colors so builders can let their imagination run wild and put together an endless number of different creations. One of the really neat features of PixelBlocks is that you can turn any photo or piece of artwork into a permanent PixelBlocks creation using their Digital Stained Glass Creator. You just upload your picture to the site - and they'll give you instructions on how you can build that picture using PixelBlocks. So, you can make a model of your best friend, your pet or whatever else you want. PixelBlocks only come in one shape, however, so building can take a long time and some kids may find sliding pieces together awkward and difficult.
