The Transformers are both robots and vehicles in one retro-chic package. Here's why they're more than meets the eye!

Chocolate or vanilla? Ashlee or Jessica? Robot or vehicle? Why make the difficult decisions in life? With Transformers you get everything you want in one wicked-cool package. They're more than meets the eye!

Transformers - Main Characters

  • Optimus Prime - The leader of the Autobots who has dedicated himself to protecting the weak from the evil Decepticons. When he's not his robot self, he's a tough-as-nails semi truck.
  • Wheeljack - Sometimes a robot, sometimes an Italian race car (Lancia Stratos), Wheeljack uses his skills as a master inventor to aid the Autobot cause.
  • Bumblebee - The smallest of the Autobots, Bumblebee can often fit into spaces where other Autobots can't. He also doubles as an old-school Volkswagen Beetle.
  • Trailbreaker - Part robot, part 4WD Toyota, this Autobot has the power to create impenetrable force fields.
  • Prowl - When he's not a police car, this Autobot can be found taking care of Decepticon bad guys as the right-hand-man to Optimus Prime.

Transformers - Villains

  • Megatron - Whether he's a robot or a pistol, Megatoron lives to battle the Autobots. His fusion cannon can kill Transformers with one shot when it is fully charged.
  • Skywarp - Part robot, part fighter jet, this Decepticon is a force to be reckoned with.
  • Starscream - This jet/robot combo is so eager to steal [kwlink]leadership[/kwlink] of the Decepticons from Megatron that he often costs his side victories.
  • Thundercracker - Another jet/robot combo, this Decepticon sometimes has doubts about the Decepticon cause. However, that doesn't stop him from using his cruise missiles to defeat the Autobots.
  • Soundwave - This Decepticon is super old-school. He's a cassette player that houses the lower-level Decepticons who turn into cassettes. He was obviously invented long before anyone had even dreamed about an iPod.

Transformers - Fun Facts

  • The Transformers series originally aired from 1984 to 1987.
  • The character Optimus Prime was killed during The Transformers: The Movie but came back to life for the episode Dark Awakening and returned for good in the episode The Return of Optimus Prime.
  • The first Transformer to appear on the series was Wheeljack.
  • In Japan, the first season of Transformers was called Fight! Super Robot Life Form Transformers.

Transformers - Quotes

"You destroy everything you touch Megatron!" - Optimus Prime.
"That's because everything I touch is food for my hunger. My hunger for power." - Megatron.
"No! I am going to end your hunger once and for all." - Optimus Prime.

"If a new source of energy is not found, no one is going to win this war." - Optimus Prime.

"It looks like some kind of... rust!" - Starscream.
"Impossible! We are rust-proof!" - Megatron.
"Perhaps you're made of shoddy materials, Megatron!" - Starscream.
"That's ABSURD!" - Megatron.

The Transformers: The Movie on DVD

The Transformers: The Movie is set in 2005 and helps connect the second and third seasons to the original series. It's darker and more action-packed than the TV series, and features the death of old favorites and the introduction of a bunch of new characters. It also includes cool extras like a sneak peek at the 2007 live action movie, original toy commercials, trailers and deleted footage.
The Transformers: The Movie DVD Rating: 5

I thought it'd be cool for all the anime fans if there was a forum where we could find friends who like the anime we do :) Personally I really need some more friends who like what I do. Which channel do you think as of today is the best channel for kids today on cable. I would probably go with Disney XD. It's just as good as it was back in 2009 in my opinion and it has a great selection of shows. What do you think is the definitive channel for kids in 2016?
